Type with Distinction
This project explores the influence of typography within visual identities,
focusing on expression and distinction. Inspired by the Manchester Unity building in Melbourne’s
CBD, this typographic identity system was created using
foundational type skills.
The system references the building’s Art Deco detailing, with a particular emphasis on the interior of the ground floor. This typeface has been applied across a variety of applications to demonstrate how it can function as a dominant and distinctive element of its identity design.
